WHY IS LIFESTYLE IMPORTANT?
HEALTH AND HAPPINESS IS NOT SOLEY BASED ON HOW GOOD YOU LOOK OR HOW MUCH YOU CAN LIFT.
Regardless of your goals or timescale, there will be times when you have to spend more hours prepping food or training, or you may have to pick slightly heather options on a menu than you would like. To look like the a chiselled athlete some sacrifices will need to be made. This program helps you sacrifice the least in terms of lifestyle and still achieve that ripped physique.
The difficulty is to make the diet and training slip into your lifestyle whilst taking into consideration your personality. Eating right will help you improve your health and well-being, keep you from feeling tired, and provide you with time and piece of mind to focus on your training. How intrusive the diet depends on the level .. so the beginner is very directive and takes the least planning but it helps build discipline, mindset and routine. The intermediate diet offers flexibility and variation but you need to already have the right mindset to make it work. The advanced diet is time-consuming and will take some work and learning time to understand and make it work for you but will defiantly give you the best results.
Making fitness part of your life is essential but keeping in mind you have to be real with your personality, social life and work life is the key to results!
ALL OR NOTHING
All you need to do is get it right 80 percent of the time, you are going to fall off the wagon at points but the important thing is to get back on the wagon as soon as you can, straight away at the next meal or snack! Not the next day or the next week. The only thing to remember don’t make falling off the wagon habit.
HOW LEAN DO YOU WANT TO BE?
The reality is you have to fully commit to drop to the lower body fat (under 10 percent) and it is difficult for people who have to work long hours, as well as maintain a family commitment and a social life … So set realistic, time scaled goals and be patient. Its not impossible but a lot on social media preach to be able to able to do it in weeks … Think months and dedication.
SOCIAL LIFE AND FITNESS
Can you have a social life? The simple answer is yes regardless of diet and training level there are opportunities! And it is important to take advantage of these times as it will keep you sane, and give you more chance of sticking the diet and training long enough to get the results you want!
WE ALL NEED REST DAYS.
Rest is essential for both physical and psychological recovery! Over training will lead to poor performance and will inhibit progress rather than enhance. Also restricting training will make you work harder when you train!
SPORTS AND HOBBIES
YOU DO NOT NEED TO GIVE UP SPORTS AND HOBBIES WHEN PURSUING GOALS OF FAT LOSS AND STRENGTH GAINS.
Contact the coach for further support to fit this into your program
In reality alcohol can be a large part of your social time, so we will never rule it out! Regularly going out and getting blind drunk means a regular large intake of calories (that generally are not accounted for), bad life choices (we’re only talking about the extra food you end up eating at the end of the night!) and subsequent poor recovery and training performance which in tern hinders development. This is what leads to you gaining weight, not the alcohol itself! A drink here and there can be accounted for in your daily calorie intake on MyFitness Pal without problem. and The occasional big night out is ok as long as it is factored in with the calorie intake the week prior! but try avoid multiple nights of heavy drinking each week.
ENJOY EATING OUT
Eating out should be a treat not a stress! All you have to do is roughly account for the food you are going to be eating in your daily calorie intake, (unless you are doing the beginner diet as it has already been done for you to give you a guilt free day of eating and drinking) although you may have to make some sacrifices on the intermediate and advanced diets.
As the majority of restaurants are becoming more attuned to people wanting to eat healthy they are offering the calorific value of meals in there menu, or you can try search them in MyFitnessPal as a lot of mainstream restaurants meals are are now on there.
Finally you could contact the coach in advance and let them advise you
BUSINESS TRIPS & SHORT BREAKS
Business trips usually mean restricted or no cooking facilities, and having to eat out as part of the trip! Whilst this is not ideal, it isn’t a situation to become anxious about or get frustrated as it could impact on your results. The fact is we need to work around it as business trips are not going to stop if they are part of your job. The good news is for those of you whom travel frequently don’t panic contact the coach and they will help you plan around your trips
For longer breaks of 1-3 weeks, which tend to be abroad, we would always suggest relaxing your diet and training to the degree you see fit. This small down period in training and potential increase in calories is nothing to worry about, and it is a very small portion of your year of hard work. However, should you wish to train then feel free to do that too. It’s your holiday, which is yours to enjoy as you see fit – just be sure not to ruin your family, partner or friends holiday in doing so!
For any training advice whilst away contact the coach and the will help you plan.
FALLING OFF THE WAGON
This happens from time to time and is usually because of unrealistic commitment. The important thing is when this happens you get straight back on plan as soon as possible! The next feed of the day! NOT THE NEXT WEEK! If you need any further help with setting realistic goals contact a coach.
Remember training and nutrition should enhance your life rather than take over and restrict it! So think about your personalty and what level of commitment will get you the results you want long term.
Finding motivation will be easier to come by on our programs, as we are there to support you 24/7 through constant WhatsApp support. SOMETIMES WE WILL ALL LOSE MOTIVATION THANKS TO THE STRESSES OF LIFE, WHEN THIS HAPPENS CONTACT A COACH! YOU ONLY FAIL WHEN YOU QUIT!
AT THESE TIMES WORKOUT THE PROBLEM AND PUT SOMETHING IN PLACE TO LIMIT THE CHANCE OF IT CAUSING YOU TO LOSE MOTIVATION AGAIN!
